A Spellbinding Trip Through Americana

darrin james band mp3s, songs, and tour schedule

The Darrin James Band recently released their debut album, Thrones of Gold, to stellar reviews. Singer/songwriter Darrin James's gravely voice easily transitions from Tom Waits style barnyard tales to Replacements style indie rock with various stops in between.

The bands music covers a variety of musical territories that at times bring to mind Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and Robbie Robertson in addition to the aforementioned Waits and Replacements. The band is celebrating the release of their new album with a performance August 6th at the Bitter End in New York. Also performing tonight are Eva Keretic, Paul Umbach, Joey Auch, Jared Campbell, and Ben Burton.
